Veterans day is just around the corner, and we want you to get an early start on showing your veterans your appreciation. Do you know what you and your family is going to do for Veterans Day? There are a multitude of events happening across the nation this week, and the No Insurance Club wants you to get involved and show your support for our troops. Here’s what you can get involved with:
Arlington National Cemetery – As always, there’s the national ceremony held at the Arlington Cemetery. If you live in the area and haven’t yet made the trip out that way, now is the time. But that isn’t the only event to take part in over Veterans Day in Washington, DC. Check this out:
· Mount Vernon Estate and Gardens concert
· National Marine Corps Museum sword cake cutting
· Navy Memorial book signing
· Vietnam Women’s Memorial has speakers who were children during this war
· Vietnam Veterans Memorial wreath-laying ceremony
Phoenix, Arizona – Here in the No Insurance Club’s home-state, the annual Veterans Day Parade will take place November 11 at 11am.
California – From San Diego to Sacramento, all of California is celebrating Veterans Day. The 23rd Annual San Diego Parade will begin at 11am.
Texas – Dallas, Texas will hold its annual Veterans Day Parade on November 11 at 11am.
As you can probably tell, most of the Veterans Day events feature a parade starting at 11am on Wednesday the 11th. Check your local paper for more information, and have a wonderful Veterans Day!
