Riots in these streets, Democrats not being allowed to speak, it’s like the world is spontaneously coming to an end and anarchy is taking over thanks to the socialistic ideals of our liberal president! OMG, what are we going to do when the secret legislation under Obama’s healthcare reform that starts allowing the government to murder US citizens if they find out too much about the system of big-brother spy cameras installed all over the country……”just like in the movie Eagle Eye.”
I tell you what, don’t believe everything you hear, or see. You know, I was a little concerned when I turned on the national news to see mobs of people interrupting town hall meetings and chanting and losing control. I imagined something awful happening, which is usually the case with some good-old-fashioned mob mentality.
But I continued to watch, hopeful to learn the entire story about these crazy riots, and the truth came out. These riots that seem so grassroots and completely spontaneous are well organized, well planned events scheduled by the GOP. No joke! These Republican (and in some cases health insurance endorsed) organized riotsthat successfully disrupt the dems attempt to convey the truth are nothing but a complete hoax to grab some much needed media attention for the Right.
These so called “town hell” meetings remind me of another Republican-riot-ransack from around the year 2000, but we’ll leave that post for another day.
In Connecticut one lout suggested Sen. Chris Dodd commit suicide as a cure for his recently announced prostate cancer. “How come we don’t just give Chris Dodd painkillers? Like a handful of them at a time! He can wash it down with Ted Kennedy’s whiskey!” Maryland Rep. Frank Kratovil was hung in effigy. Rep. Tim Bishop needed a police escort back to his car. In Austin, Texas, a blue outpost in that red state, Rep. Lloyd Doggett was shouted down by abusive GOP protesters.—Salon
While it’s true that there are many, many American’s out there who passionately oppose this health care reform, these town hall riots are not so much a product of that outrage, but more a product of puppetry. The Right has coordinated through emails, text messages, and phone calls to get the place, time, and suggested mob behavior.
Maybe you’re interested in learning how to disrupt a town hall meeting about health care reform, a meeting intended to be informational and respectful. Below are the guidelines for “rocking” a town hall meeting about health care reform.
And though the town hell riotvideos might be blowing up on YouTube, is it really accomplishing anything? Town halls are supposed to be an open discourse where the American people and the American way can be played out. Is there anything American about being played like puppets by the big corporations who are funding the “grassroots” spontaneity?
