Our Ceo Chad Harris likes to call us social media healthcare, since we are obsessed with interacting with our members via Twitter, Facebook, and through the blog comments. We’ve got a great following here, and we thank each and every one of you.
With that said, I came across an article today that I just had to share. It might be a little bit more for the techies out there, but around the office we find it very cool. The White House has launched an interactive social site for health care discussions. The health care forum, Reality Check, lets anyone and everyone discuss current health care myths and concerns. The format is mostly visual, with embeddable videos and links to every social network that the White House has.
The Obama administration is doing whatever it can to dispel the “Six Myths” that have become quite common lately. The bullet points from Reality Check are as follows:
-
Reform will stop “rationing” – not increase it.
-
The “euthanasia” distortion on help for families
-
Vet’s health care is safe and sound
-
Reform will benefit small business – not burden it
-
Your medicare is safe, and stronger with reform
-
You can keep your own insurance
These are the six health care myths that the Obama administration would hope that people will be discussion thanks to Reality Check. Leave your comments on the subject here, or head over to out Twitter page to let us know how you feel about the entire situation. What do you think about the six healthcare myths?
