Every once in a while, it’s nice to sit back and laugh, which is why if you haven’t been over to our Health Care Crisis Channel it would be a good idea to jump over there and check out former Ms. Arizona tear up the health care industry. But for this blog, even though I’m sure you’re sick of it by now, I have to bring you the Kanye – Swift drama.
Not the childish she-said he-said, but what the President said. I love it when anyone, especially President’s, are caught red-handed when they think the mics are turned off and only a trusted few are listening.
The other day, while preparing for a press conference at the White House, President Obama was shooting-the-**** with his reporters in the press room, talking about the day’s events and what was on TV the previous evening. A reporter brought up the Taylor Swift, Kanye West drama, and Obama had the greatest reaction I’ve ever heard a President make.
“He’s a jackass,” President Obama said about Kanye West, a stark supporter of Obama’s run for the Presidency.
It wasn’t really what he said, but it was how he said it. It was so natural, so under the radar, and so funny. A reporter asked what Obama thought of the entire situation, when Obama said that Taylor seemed like a very nice “young lady” who deserved her time on stage. When Kanye interrupted, the only word that came to Obama’s mind was “jackass.”
Does this have anything to do with healthcare? Of course not. But, it is nice to know that the President of the United States actually knows what’s going on with young America and isn’t afraid to express his distaste for rudeness. Even if it comes from his own party and his own supporters.
