The advantage to a government health care plan is that it all but guarantees health insurance coverage to every American. The drawback is that its cost is unknown at the moment and by judging the Medicare/Medicaid plans implemented now will destroy any and all health care to the public. This is also a giant step toward a government-run health care system and had proven over and over aging to be a failure.
Every nation in the world that has implemented a national government health care plan has failed miserably. That is why people from all over the world come to the U.S.A. for medical care because of the great health care system we have now. Perfect? absolutely not, but even as it is now no one is left out of medical assistance when needed.
Possibilities for financing a public option include forcing employers to pay into a fund for public insurance, taxing workers’ health care benefits as income and changing tax laws to make it more difficult for the wealthy to write off charitable contributions. Every step taken to socialize this country with government health care plan  is destroying the generosity that this country has always been noted for.
Every government implemented program has been disastrous and has created more problems than has solved. We can look at the current or other governement health care plan such as Medicare/Medicaid programs we have now are at bankruptcy and you want to add to this community/public burden by implementing another government/bureaucracy health care? What does the government know about the medical field? How can the government decide what is necessary for any specific medical need when you are not doctors and have no training nor understanding of the medical/health-care field?Â
I propose health care be left to the health trained professionals as the No Insurance Club is against any form of national government health care plan.
