The following is from Chad Harris at his blog FranchiseWhale.com:
Glad I am not an idiot, at least according to Glenn Beck. In his latest book, “Arguing with Idiots” on page 263 it reads,
“The No Insurance Club
While it might seem like the worst facebook group in existence, the No Insurance Club is actually a way to prepay medical expenses and get an extremely low rate in return. For about $500 per year patients get priority access to up to 12 doctor appointments, extremely low-priced prescriptions, free tests and blood work, plus they pay no deductibles, no co-pays, and avoid all of the endless paperwork. Considering the average doctor’s appointment can run as high as $130, that’s a huge saving.
These are just some of the innovative ideas that capitalism is dreaming up even as we brainstorm ways to get rid of it.”
If I could get the Huffington Post to write some good ink about the No Insurance Club, maybe world peace could be achievable in my lifetime.

I find this incredibly interesting, mainly becuase we love to chat about Glenn Beck here at the NIC blog. Should we sell out and start watching Fox not just for entertainment purposes? Hmm…..
Now, we’ve had our discrepencies with Glenn Beck, and since his famous Obama comment he’s lost over 80 advertisers. However, recent gossip is that the White House agrees with Glenn Beck. The funny thing about that is that if you stop to read the articles, you realize that isn’t the case at all. The White House has decided to launch it’s own media campaign to turn the heat up on talking heads like Beck, Maddow, and Limbaugh who spread rumors, taking the truth and stretching it beyond recognition.
“When you are having a debate about whether or not you want to kill people’s grandmother,” deputy communications director Dan Pfeiffer told the media, “the normal rules of engagement don’t apply.”
The White House is now going to fight back, no longer providing “ammunition” for fact checkers, but providing the facts themselves in “biting” fashion. Basically, they’ve had enough of the “controversy” and “three-ring circus” that has become the heatlh care debate…and any other debate surrounding President Obama.
But, I digress. If Glenn Beck says the No Insurance Club is an “innovative idea” than we must be doing something right. Check us out at http://www.noinsuranceclub.com.
