Nobel Peace Prize gossip is still buzzing all over the internet after President Barack Obama was one of the most recent recipients. The surprise announcement, and, to many people, the surprise acceptance of the Prize has left people feeling many different emotions around the nation.

Many allude to President Roosevelt’s refusal to accept the Nobel Peace Prize in 1908 until many years after his presidency as a course that President Obama could have taken. However, many others simply say that he will stand up to all of the promises that he’s made, so now is as good a time as any to award his for not so much as what he’s done in his presidency thus far, but what he will do based on his promises.

President Obama gave a speech at my school graduation last May, riling the students up with ASU basketball commentary and rivalry talk. I watched on TV, wishing I had walked this year instead of graduating in December. Back then, his speech was about volunteering, finding your passion to help people and giving your time to your neighbor. I won’t lie, many found the speech a bit too anti-work and pro-volunteer, which is hard for graduates like myself who are working hard to find ways to pay off their student loan debt. However, to me, it was inspirational.

President Obama’s school speech given this morning to students heading back to school across the country took much the same stance, although America has changed a lot in the past few months, and their perception of their once inspiration president has fallen.

While many of us can agree that health care reform is something that needs to happen, not many of us agree on how it should happen. Once again in his presidency, President Obama is going to grace the national spotlight with a press conference to reassure you’re darkest health care fears, and hopefully destroy any doubts you may have about how this health care reform will change your life.

It wasn’t long ago when President Obama used his celebrity presidency to grace primetime TV with an interview to, once again, reassure the American people. In his news conference tonight, President Obama will probably discuss the Senate’s progress on the bill, any changes that have been made, and sue his political standing and approval to cheerlead the passage of his health care reform.

Remember when going for your morning run was the best way to start your day? Then Oprah and everyone else started saying that running was bad for your back and worse for your knees. Then there was that ultra famous and super entertaining quick walking. You know, with the arms swinging high and the hips swooshing from side-to-side. Good stuff.

Sara Palin has graced the cover of Runner’s World magazine and proclaims to be an avid runner, things in the running world are heating up. Is your freedom to choose your own personal health care in jeopardy under the proposed?  From all account as to what is being made public about the Obama-Kennedy-Pelosi-Care it could be devastating to us.  Yes, it is wise to be concerned about the cost… but even a greater concern is the callousness of this plan.  Politicians in DC are scheming behind closed doors to impose a massive government-run health care system on us Joe and Jane Citizen the American people. This proposal is not only on track to bankrupt the country financially but to bankrupt our health care and our freedom to choose our health care provisions.   It seems the real catastrophe or most horrifying aspect of Obama-Kennedy-Pelosi-Care is that it will actually limit your family’s health care choices. The government bureaucrats will be in charge of your family’s medical decisions and health care needs. These government bureaucrats will actually get to play God in you and your family’s life. These sanctioned god-government -bureaucrats get to decide who gets what treatment and when. It will no longer be between you and your doctor to decide what is best for your health care. Under the Obama-Kennedy-Pelosi-Care it will be decided by the non-medical government bureaucrat to determine if you are a worthy candidate to receive certain types of medical care, or if you will be rejected because you are deemed unworthy for appropriate medical care. So for potentially life- saving or life- extending treatments you will have to take a number and stand in line.

Some pundits write that the secret emerges: The government is going to cut medical costs by cutting medical care…. Decisions will be made not based on the medical need but on financial.  Decisions will not be based on the doctor’s opinion or trained medical judgment but a bureaucrat and an accountants opinion of what the new health care system (Obama-Kennedy-Pelosi-Care) can afford.  You will not be able to bypass their decision and pay for this care yourself.  If the Obama-Kennedy-Pelosi-Care is implemented private payments will not be permitted. What is now a private fee for service will be metastasized into a bribe. This is only the beginning, rationing is coming and coming quickly!

The ‘White House’ admits Americans will be forced out of their current health care plans.’ Yet it seems the White House officials suggest that Obama’s rhetoric should not be taken literally.  It seems the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) has made it clear that un-numbered (millions) will be forced to give up their health care plan they currently have under the Obama/Democrat health care plan.  Has Obama deliberately misled the American public or is he just so in experienced and naïve that he doesn’t even realize the implications of this proposal?

Obama and the congressional Democrats continue to make repeated promises that  American’s can keep their current employer health care coverage but in a story per the Associated Press(AP) the White House officials  finally admitted  that is not true.

Health-care and the travesty of it all.  The U.S. has an obligation, based on a 1787 agreement between tribes and the government, to provide American Indians with free health and medical care on reservations. Once again promises are not kept.  How is it that as a nation we continue to ignore the needs and most especially the medical and health care needs for these citizens. Over and over again they are neglected and the U.S. government breaks the agreements. It is not just this administration or congress but has been going on since the establishment of the U.S. government. This just not ought to be. The U.S. sends medical, financial, material and bodily assistance to nations around the world but neglect our own citizens that we promised to care for.  

More medical assistance is given to criminals and illegal aliens than  to those that were given a promise  About one-third more is spent per capita on health care for felons in federal prison, according to 2005 data from the health service and even more than that is spent on illegal aliens. These illegal aliens are not entitled to any assistance of any kind. Yet, we as a nation cater to the needs of criminals than to the ones a promise was given. Yes, I include illegal aliens as criminals as they are entering the country illegally. Just in case you don’t understand the term ‘illegal’ means against the law or unlawful. So yes,  all illegal aliens are criminals and should be treated as such.

This has ignited a real ethical tornado! Looks as though ABC NEWS anchor Charlie Gibson will deliver WORLD NEWS from the Blue Room of the White House. The network also plans a prime-time special ‘Prescription for America’ presented from the East Room. This airing will only present the views of Obamanation excluding any opposing views or allowing any debate.

I say that Sara Palin is a bigger person than I. I personally do not accept an apology by this vicious, vindictive, scoundrel David Letterman who on more than one occasion attempts to find humor in vicious attacks and lies on others. No so called joke at the cost of children is ever considered a joke and certainly is not funny on any level. Anyone that attended or watched that episode of the Letterman show should be appalled by his despicable attempt at humor. Actually if you didn’t leave the set or turn of the TV at that point you are as despicable as Letterman.  If you were one of the idiots that laughed and found humor in that despicable joke and behavior you too are as pathetic as Letterman. He is perverted in his assessment as to what a joke actually is. Only a perverted egotistical idiot would even try to attempt to find humor in attacking a child in such a vile manner. Even if he mistakenly used the wrong name of the child and meant the older daughter it is still reprehensible that he tried to find humor in such vicious attacks and lies. This man should be fired immediately and no station owner with any integrity would ever hire this evil creature to host another show. This was Letterman’s evil attempt to assert his political view at the expense of a child. Slamming children through an attempt of humor or a so called joke to express his own political preferences and agenda is beyond reprehensible.

I would like to share with you an article written by Anne Wortham an admired and highly respected Professor of Sociology at ISU and her political views .  A poignant statement and letter issued by Anne on the issue of  political views on the election solely based on color or nationality not on policy, qualifications,  and ideals and most importantly the constitution.

Anne Wortham’s  assessment of the  election is something definitely to be considered.  I for one  just wonder if in her assessment that she will be referred to as a racist, or called a turn-coat, or  maybe an  Uncle Tom because she did not vote for the black-man. I know there are other prominent black people that did not vote for Obama and they were called names and condemned because they did no go with the flow and vote for the black man just because he is black. But guess what?  It seems that everyone has forgot the fact that he is half white.
