Getting Your Flu Shot? What You Need To Know

Posted by admin  Published in Health Insurance

Well, it’s that time again. Time for the flu shot. Even our President and his family received their seasonal flu shots, though no swine flu shots. Even though he is the President, and his family is the First Family, he is not on the list of young children, seniors, or pregnant ladies who get the vaccines first. Although, it is pretty funny to see two paragraph updates in every major news feed from The Associated Press to the Washington Post about Obama’s flu shot.

Do you get your flu shot every season? I’ll admit it, I don’t and I never have. No one in my family ever has, and I couldn’t really give you a good reason why. We just don’t get flu shots. I mean, we’re not allergic to eggs or anything (did you know that if you’re allergic to eggs you can’t get a flu shot?), but it’s just never been a part of our seasonal routine.

Health Care Reform Debate

Posted by admin  Published in American, Government, Health, Health Care, Health Care Crisis, Health Insurance, PR -No Insurance Club, Political, Political Startegies, Socialized Health

Kathleen Sebelius Health and Human Services Secretary defends Obama public health insurance plan. No surprise here since she was selected specifically to promote the Obama socialized health  care agenda. Yet, she is facing strong opposition from Republican leaders, extreme criticism from powerful business groups and the majority of the legal working and voting citizens.

Sebelius stated to the House Energy and Commerce Committee a government-run health care option would increase choice and competition. The U.S. Chamber of Commerce begs to differ and stated in testimony that it would “gut the private market.”

Obama-Kennedy-Pelosi-Care ?

Posted by admin  Published in Government, Health, Health Care, Health Care Crisis, Health Insurance, Medical, PR -No Insurance Club, Political, Political Startegies, Politics, Socialized Health, doctors

Is your freedom to choose your own personal health care in jeopardy under the proposed?  From all account as to what is being made public about the Obama-Kennedy-Pelosi-Care it could be devastating to us.  Yes, it is wise to be concerned about the cost… but even a greater concern is the callousness of this plan.  Politicians in DC are scheming behind closed doors to impose a massive government-run health care system on us Joe and Jane Citizen the American people. This proposal is not only on track to bankrupt the country financially but to bankrupt our health care and our freedom to choose our health care provisions.   It seems the real catastrophe or most horrifying aspect of Obama-Kennedy-Pelosi-Care is that it will actually limit your family’s health care choices. The government bureaucrats will be in charge of your family’s medical decisions and health care needs. These government bureaucrats will actually get to play God in you and your family’s life. These sanctioned god-government -bureaucrats get to decide who gets what treatment and when. It will no longer be between you and your doctor to decide what is best for your health care. Under the Obama-Kennedy-Pelosi-Care it will be decided by the non-medical government bureaucrat to determine if you are a worthy candidate to receive certain types of medical care, or if you will be rejected because you are deemed unworthy for appropriate medical care. So for potentially life- saving or life- extending treatments you will have to take a number and stand in line.

Some pundits write that the secret emerges: The government is going to cut medical costs by cutting medical care…. Decisions will be made not based on the medical need but on financial.  Decisions will not be based on the doctor’s opinion or trained medical judgment but a bureaucrat and an accountants opinion of what the new health care system (Obama-Kennedy-Pelosi-Care) can afford.  You will not be able to bypass their decision and pay for this care yourself.  If the Obama-Kennedy-Pelosi-Care is implemented private payments will not be permitted. What is now a private fee for service will be metastasized into a bribe. This is only the beginning, rationing is coming and coming quickly!

Government Run Health Care Plans

Posted by admin  Published in American, Government, Health, Health Care, Health Care Crisis, Health Insurance, Medical, PR -No Insurance Club, Political, Politics, Socialized Health, doctors

The ‘White House’ admits Americans will be forced out of their current health care plans.’ Yet it seems the White House officials suggest that Obama’s rhetoric should not be taken literally.  It seems the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) has made it clear that un-numbered (millions) will be forced to give up their health care plan they currently have under the Obama/Democrat health care plan.  Has Obama deliberately misled the American public or is he just so in experienced and naïve that he doesn’t even realize the implications of this proposal?

Obama and the congressional Democrats continue to make repeated promises that  American’s can keep their current employer health care coverage but in a story per the Associated Press(AP) the White House officials  finally admitted  that is not true.

Senate on health care reform

Posted by admin  Published in Health Care, Health Care Crisis, Health Insurance, PR -No Insurance Club, Political, Political Startegies, Political Views, Socialized Health

Senate has engaged in taking major steps toward an extensive overhaul for the nation’s health care system. It is the intent of the Democrats despite strenuous GOP opposition to insure a national/socialized health-care plan.  Sen. Christopher Dodd, D-Conn., is overseeing the proceedings in place of Sen. Edward M. Kennedy, D-Mass., because of medical complications. The Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee have begun work on a bill encompassing President Barack Obama’s legislative priority. The effort marked the first time since President Bill Clinton’s administration by Hillary Clinton’s proposal that Congress tackled a national health care system.

High costs and assumed uneven health care for millions of Americans that are uninsured have created the strongest political momentum for re-addressing a reform to the health care system in a decade. Only 1/3  of the Senate measure has been estimated to cost about $1 trillion over 10 years with an additional $1 trillion for the other 2 segments over the same 10 year time span. Even this could still leave 37 million people uninsured, according to an analysis from the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office. So it looks as a full reform health care plan could cost more than $3 trillion.

You may not believe it, but Medical Billing and Coding specialists are the most important part of keeping a hospital or medical office running. It is the medical biller specialist that keeps the money coming in to finance and keep operations running. With medical procedures becoming more complicated and varied, insurance companies are becoming more restrictive on how they reimburse for medical procedures. You can now possibly qualify to get this training free.  It is imminent that the medical biller/coder be well trained to insure medical practices are fully reimbursed for their work. It is possible to get this training for free. Yes, free education is possible and easy to obtain if you have recently lost your job and currently unemployed. You might want to take advantage of this free education/training and career opportunity.

Most doctor offices employs a medical biller. These individuals are responsible for billing the insurance companies and patients for medical procedures and doctor’s visits. These medical billers generally use medical coding on computer databases in order to keep current records and track the patient information and visits. These positions are essential and will become even more important as a national computerized system and programs are implemented. A typical medical biller will verify insurancecoverage and the pre-authorization of recording patient’s info and preparing transactions by billing and coding insurance claims as well as payment from the insurance company or the patient direct.

Neglected Promises

Posted by admin  Published in American, Constitution, Equal Rights, Equality, Health Care, Health Care Crisis, Health Insurance, PR -No Insurance Club, Political, Politics

Health-care and the travesty of it all.  The U.S. has an obligation, based on a 1787 agreement between tribes and the government, to provide American Indians with free health and medical care on reservations. Once again promises are not kept.  How is it that as a nation we continue to ignore the needs and most especially the medical and health care needs for these citizens. Over and over again they are neglected and the U.S. government breaks the agreements. It is not just this administration or congress but has been going on since the establishment of the U.S. government. This just not ought to be. The U.S. sends medical, financial, material and bodily assistance to nations around the world but neglect our own citizens that we promised to care for.

More medical assistance is given to criminals and illegal aliens than  to those that were given a promise  About one-third more is spent per capita on health care for felons in federal prison, according to 2005 data from the health service and even more than that is spent on illegal aliens. These illegal aliens are not entitled to any assistance of any kind. Yet, we as a nation cater to the needs of criminals than to the ones a promise was given. Yes, I include illegal aliens as criminals as they are entering the country illegally. Just in case you don’t understand the term ‘illegal’ means against the law or unlawful. So yes,  all illegal aliens are criminals and should be treated as such.

Oppose Obama’s Socialized Health Care

Posted by admin  Published in Health Care, Health Care Crisis, Health Insurance, PR -No Insurance Club, Socialized Health, doctors
While health care is extremely important it is not a constitutional mandated-right it is a privilege. Obama and the Democrats want to control our health care. It is their intent to jam socialized health care down our throat and force you/me to pay for others that opt not to pay for their own health care coverage.  Many individuals that are offered health-care plans on their jobs are opting out to pay their own way.  All of us under a national plan would then be responsible for all those that don’t want to carry their own coverage. Once you are under a national health care program the government then gets to decide what kind of coverage you will get. Should the government take over the health care we will have a health care crisis in that of a health care rationing.

Every program that the government runs (Medicare, Medicade, Social Security, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac)  are corrupted and are failing terribly.  It is Obama/Liberal Democrats intent to tell your physician what, where, when, and  how we will receive our health care.  Biden has already stated that the elderly will just have to learn to cope with getting old and not get to see the physician as needed. These same politicians will have their own superior and personal health care so that they will not be susceptible to the inefficient health care coverage that they want to put upon us.  This is another government program that will go bankrupt.  It’s hard to know whether Obama’s health care proposal is really that naive, hypocritical or simply dishonest. To be honest I personally believe it is a combination of all three. Obama keeps saying that  it’s a must to control runaway health spending. Rightly so.  But it’s the conclusion of many economists and most definitely the medical field professionals that a government controlled program will create just the opposite effect and greatly increase the spending. .
