Well, it’s that time again. Time for the flu shot. Even our President and his family received their seasonal flu shots, though no swine flu shots. Even though he is the President, and his family is the First Family, he is not on the list of young children, seniors, or pregnant ladies who get the vaccines first. Although, it is pretty funny to see two paragraph updates in every major news feed from The Associated Press to the Washington Post about Obama’s flu shot.
Do you get your flu shot every season? I’ll admit it, I don’t and I never have. No one in my family ever has, and I couldn’t really give you a good reason why. We just don’t get flu shots. I mean, we’re not allergic to eggs or anything (did you know that if you’re allergic to eggs you can’t get a flu shot?), but it’s just never been a part of our seasonal routine.
