Happy Consitution Day!!

Posted by admin  Published in American

Happy Constitution Day!! Seriously. On September 17, 1787, the Philadelphia Convention penned the oldest, and shortest, constitution in the world. On this historical day, George Washington, Ben Franklin, James Madison, and many others signed the most historical document in our American history, thus beginning the story that is America.

The U.S. Constitution was the first of its kind to offer freedom and liberty to its people. The first of its kind to undermine a ruling king with the will of the people, to disregard any aristocracy or bloodlines by putting the pursuit of individual happiness above tyranny. The U.S. Constitution is the backbone of our very existence here in this great land. So, once again, Happy Constitution Day!

Rationing Health Care

Posted by admin  Published in American, Equality, Free Our Healthcare

There’s been an interesting discussion happening within the health care realm that has piqued the interest of many within the past few weeks. What is your life worth? What is a stranger’s life worth? If you had to put a monetary amount on life, on the months you might have left to live, what would that amount be? Is $100,000 for six months reasonable? How about $1 million for six months?

Let me ask you, what if your first child was to be born within the next two months? How much would your life be worth then? And if a complete stranger’s child was in the same situation? What would their life be worth?

Happy 4th Of July!!

Posted by admin  Published in American

Did I mention how much we love Aunt Sara around here? She really knows how to stir things up. Fourth of July is a time to celebrate our freedom, our democracy, and our lives here in one of the greatest countries. Sure, we have our flaws, everyone does. No one here is perfect, not even Aunt Sara, but we do our best. We drive thousands of miles across the country to help a friend in need, or a town struggling after disaster, or a city crumbling under attack. We lend our hands, our wallets, our blood, sweat and tears to our fellow Americans, our neighbors, and our friends. It is a great country when we can come together in good times and bad and stand side-by-side through it all. We might not have the money to head out of town this weekend, or shoot off some big time fireworks, but that’s not what it’s about.

Health Care Infomercial

Posted by admin  Published in American, Health, Health Care, Health Care Crisis, Health Care Plans, Health Care Reform, PR -No Insurance Club, Political Startegies, Political Views, Socialized Health

The best laid plans with ABC’s best-laid to jumpstart the debate about health care reform it still came across as an “infomercial,” as many have complained. This so called “Prescription for America”, Obama spent over 60% of the time as his questioners, vaguely answering or not addressing the questions asked of him at all. Why didn’t ABC just donate time to Obama an hour of presenting his personal views? Were they afraid that his teleprompter would lose power or that he would just blow it?  Did it come across that Obama was just there to promote his plan and not to actually address any concerns that the public may have? ABC (government owned network) consistently presented the event as part of the need to fix a “broken system.”

When asked, every one of the 164 hand-picked audience members all stated that a there was a definite need for health care reform. There was one question that Obama definitely danced around and never did answer. He could not or would not give a direct answer when asked would he use this health care fix-it program for himself and his family. So the only conclusion that can be drawn from his refusal to answer the question must be the old adage ‘do as I say, not do as I do’. So I guess in this case ‘what is good for the gander is not good for the goose’.

Health Care Reform Debate

Posted by admin  Published in American, Government, Health, Health Care, Health Care Crisis, Health Insurance, PR -No Insurance Club, Political, Political Startegies, Socialized Health

Kathleen Sebelius Health and Human Services Secretary defends Obama public health insurance plan. No surprise here since she was selected specifically to promote the Obama socialized health  care agenda. Yet, she is facing strong opposition from Republican leaders, extreme criticism from powerful business groups and the majority of the legal working and voting citizens.

Sebelius stated to the House Energy and Commerce Committee a government-run health care option would increase choice and competition. The U.S. Chamber of Commerce begs to differ and stated in testimony that it would “gut the private market.”

Government Run Health Care Plans

Posted by admin  Published in American, Government, Health, Health Care, Health Care Crisis, Health Insurance, Medical, PR -No Insurance Club, Political, Politics, Socialized Health, doctors

The ‘White House’ admits Americans will be forced out of their current health care plans.’ Yet it seems the White House officials suggest that Obama’s rhetoric should not be taken literally.  It seems the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) has made it clear that un-numbered (millions) will be forced to give up their health care plan they currently have under the Obama/Democrat health care plan.  Has Obama deliberately misled the American public or is he just so in experienced and naïve that he doesn’t even realize the implications of this proposal?

Obama and the congressional Democrats continue to make repeated promises that  American’s can keep their current employer health care coverage but in a story per the Associated Press(AP) the White House officials  finally admitted  that is not true.

Neglected Promises

Posted by admin  Published in American, Constitution, Equal Rights, Equality, Health Care, Health Care Crisis, Health Insurance, PR -No Insurance Club, Political, Politics

Health-care and the travesty of it all.  The U.S. has an obligation, based on a 1787 agreement between tribes and the government, to provide American Indians with free health and medical care on reservations. Once again promises are not kept.  How is it that as a nation we continue to ignore the needs and most especially the medical and health care needs for these citizens. Over and over again they are neglected and the U.S. government breaks the agreements. It is not just this administration or congress but has been going on since the establishment of the U.S. government. This just not ought to be. The U.S. sends medical, financial, material and bodily assistance to nations around the world but neglect our own citizens that we promised to care for.

More medical assistance is given to criminals and illegal aliens than  to those that were given a promise  About one-third more is spent per capita on health care for felons in federal prison, according to 2005 data from the health service and even more than that is spent on illegal aliens. These illegal aliens are not entitled to any assistance of any kind. Yet, we as a nation cater to the needs of criminals than to the ones a promise was given. Yes, I include illegal aliens as criminals as they are entering the country illegally. Just in case you don’t understand the term ‘illegal’ means against the law or unlawful. So yes,  all illegal aliens are criminals and should be treated as such.

Anne Wortham - Great American

Posted by admin  Published in American, Constitution, Cultural, Equal Rights, Equality, PR -No Insurance Club, Patriotic, Philosophical, Political, Political Startegies, Political Views, Politics, Racist-Racism, Social, Sociology

I would like to share with you an article written by Anne Wortham an admired and highly respected Professor of Sociology at ISU and her political views .  A poignant statement and letter issued by Anne on the issue of  political views on the election solely based on color or nationality not on policy, qualifications,  and ideals and most importantly the constitution.

Anne Wortham’s  assessment of the  election is something definitely to be considered.  I for one  just wonder if in her assessment that she will be referred to as a racist, or called a turn-coat, or  maybe an  Uncle Tom because she did not vote for the black-man. I know there are other prominent black people that did not vote for Obama and they were called names and condemned because they did no go with the flow and vote for the black man just because he is black. But guess what?  It seems that everyone has forgot the fact that he is half white.
